Functional Muscle Assessment, Levels I-IV–NCBTMB approved
Kinesiology means the study of movement or motion. Manual muscle testing is the generalized use of a muscle or muscles as an assessment tool. This highly interactive course is designed for all those interested in increasing their knowledge when working with the musculature and the energy systems of the body. Based upon concepts derived from Applied Kinesiology, it provides an essential foundation for anyone using muscle assessment in their practice and reduces errors in responses due to neurological disorganization and improper muscle testing technique. Anyone using muscle assessment must have a solid foundation to perform the tests accurately.
These classes review basic kinesiology, muscle physiology, and synergistic movement and provides the basic foundations of biomechanics to directly assess the functional integrity of the nervous system and the muscles. It also correlates these assessments within the basics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (5 elements) and provides methods of managing stress, reducing physical and psycho-emotional pain and increasing overall energy and awareness without the use of substances.

Acupressure Techniques for Stress and Trauma – 8 hours–NCBTMB approved
This course draws on principles developed by many of the pioneers in the Applied Kinesiology fields and has its roots in oriental medicine and acupuncture. Through the use of acupressure points this technique has helped hundreds of athletes not only compete at their highest level, but correct imbalances and muscular dysfunction. Proprioception, the body’s sense of where it is in space, is a process of the muscles communicating with the nervous system. Injury interferes with the body’s proprioceptive signals and creates imbalance. Acupressure serves to relieve stress on the musculoskeletal system and is one of the quickest ways to restore muscle balance. When certain acupressure points are used, the muscle spindles are reset, and then that balance is reawakened. By utilizing these points, your body learns to directly apply your strength and power gains to the movements made during your sport and has demonstrated its efficacy for not only physical, muscular, and sports related issues but for trauma, PTSD, and other psycho-emotional issues as well. Studies have shown that these techniques are as effective as inserting needles and are believed to affect the body’s electromagnetic energy fields. A basic understanding of functional muscle assessment is required (Functional Muscle Assessment, Level I).

Meridian Tapping for Stress and Trauma-8 CE hours
Originally developed by Roger Callahan, PhD, from a technique called The 5 minute Phobia Cure, meridian tapping has since evolved to encompass many forms. The most notable (and popular) form is Emotional Freedom Technique developed by Gary Craig. Another early form is known as Sabotage Programs and is used within a finger mode system in the Professional Kinesiology Practitioner Program (Dewe).

This technique has demonstrated its efficacy for not only physical, muscular, and energetic issues, but for trauma, PTSD and other psycho-emotional issues as well.
